MPE ENGINEERING has a wide experience in projects in the nuclear area, keeping in its Technical Body several professionals experienced in the implantation of Nuclear Plants and Uranium Enrichment Units.

We currently have a portfolio of contracts at the Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Plant (CNAAA), serving the facilities of Angra 1, Angra 2, Angra 3 and the Dry Storage Unit (UAS), including the controlled areas and those subject to ionizing radiation.

The main activities refer to electromechanical and civil assembly services, performing the following activities:

• Assembly of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment;
• Installation of Electrical Conduit and Cable Tray;
• Laying, connecting and testing power and control cables;
• Instrumentation and Control;
• Assemblies of Metallic Structures;
• Civil construction services.

Since mid-2016, we have been performing the Preservation and Maintenance of Equipment and Electromechanical Components of Angra 3, where these components are stored both in the various warehouses of Eletronuclear (including NUCLEP), and installed and/or positioned in the basic works.

In this contract with Eletronuclear, we perform Moving, Storage, Control, Inspection and Preservation activities on approximately 14,500 tons of domestic and imported electromechanical equipment and components.
