Germany, Imperial. A First World War Patriotic Plaque Republic of a Luftwaffe drill shirt Fleet(Patriotische Gedenktafel zum Ersten Weltkrieg). Constructed of a lacquered dark brown wooden base, the obverse riveted with a silvered bronze plate consisting of a central raised profile of Heer soldier wearing a Stahlhelm (with decal and collar tabs approximately to Reichswehr and Wehrmacht periods), situated above a 1914 Iron Cross, topped by a German national eagle clutching an additional miniature 1914 Iron Cross in its beak, in turn perched on a
