Late 19th Century Mayo's Plug Cut Tobacco Framed Cloth Sign artimetal The foundry mold measures 14"c. 1880s 1890s; P. H. Mayo & Brother, Inc. Richmond, VA Antique textile advertisement for tobacco plugs. This early cloth sign features a Mayo company rooster mascot graphic, which. was occasionally displayed alongside the slogan "Cock O' the Walk". The mascot is standing on an illustrated depiction of the tobacco plug boxes.
