Constructed of a silver alloy, the exterior featuring an elongated rectangular plaque bearing a hand etched palm tree, flanked by initials DAK (Deutsches Afrikakorps) and a partially legible date of 194, unmarked, corresponding to a mens size 9, weighing 16. 5 grams, demonstrating a consistent patina throughout, a classic example of a ring privately purchased by a German serviceman in the North African theatre, in very fine
