This is an original 1893 halftone print of the East Portal of the Administration Building at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. The prominent figure of Columbus, which stood in the portal, was the work of Miss Mary T. Lawrence, and represented the landing of Columbus, and the planting of the Spanish flag in the colonies of the New World. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the
